About RenVocate
RenVocate CIC is a community interest company created to help people facing inequality, exclusion, trauma and barriers to services. RenVocate will be in the situation with you, listen non-judgementally, talk through possible ways forward and actively support you, whether directly or by signposting you to the relevant services.

Support should be collaborative, understanding and empathic, with the person at its heart.
RenVocate is made up of a team of dedicated and highly experienced individuals working to empower you in any area of life you are currently struggling with.

Our mission is to advance social inclusion by combining advocacy, education, wellbeing, creativity and practical community support.

We want communities affected by injustice or exclusion to have clearer routes to support, stronger connections and greater confidence to shape the decisions that affect their lives.

Integrity
All work is conducted with the highest level of integrity. We remain honest and trustworthy throughout, providing a safe space, ensuring laws and policies are followed and safeguarding vulnerable people.
Inclusion
We recognise the injustices in our society that happen and are all too often allowed to thrive through silence and acceptance when there is no solid support or guidance to challenge them. RenVocate works to foster greater inclusion when these matters arise and to ensure the person affected is not further disadvantaged.
Compassion
We combine holistic, practical support with humanity and care when working with each individual. Our empathetic approach enables us to move beyond identifying the problem to assisting with finding a solution.
Empowerment
RenVocate helps people recognise their strengths and understand that they are best placed to resolve their own issues. We help them uncover the information, power and strength within themselves through guidance and support, not control.
Community
We build and strengthen communities through partnerships, participation and shared learning and experiences. Community is at the heart of what we do. Everyone needs a sense of belonging and should not be excluded from their community.

Community purpose, accountable governance
RenVocate works with members of the community and partners with like-minded organisations. Each Board member brings unique skills and experience to provide accountable governance and ensure the organisation remains focused on its community purpose.
Patricia Smith
Founder, Chair & Managing Director
Patricia’s skills and experience include advocacy, community-led support, listening and coaching-informed approaches, Mental Health First Aid, complementary therapy, art and creative practice, professional coaching development and work with Windrush communities.
Sonia Brodie
HR Director & Chief People Officer
Sonia provides strategic oversight on people, organisational culture, equality, recruitment, volunteer practice and responsible HR governance.
Barbara Daniels
Community Engagement and Safeguarding Director
Barbara supports community participation and helps ensure RenVocate’s services remain responsive, inclusive and grounded in safe practice.
